Congratulations on your newborn!!! If you are looking for cheap ways to set up a fantastic nursery for your baby, this post is all you need.
These 5 tips will guide you in setting up your nursery on a budget.
1. Buy Thrifts
Thrift is the new cool and thankfully, they come cheaper and sometimes more durable than brand new items. Babies outgrow things so quickly that you will have to keep replacing them especially clothings. Check out garage sales, clearance sales, social media pages that sell secondhand items like Budget Mummy Gears, furnitures, toys and electronics are always up for sale from time to time. Buy, wash, sanitize and it is as good as new!
2. Reuse Items
If this isn’t your first baby, chances are you have some items stored away. No need buying brand new everything. Bring out the old items and sort them out. You will be surprised how little you need to buy.
3. Repurpose
Chances are you already own items that can be repurposed. For example, your old dressing table with a changing pad on top makes an instant changing table that can be easily converted back to a dresser for storage as the child grows or that extra couch in your sitting room can be used for the sitting area in your nursery. Voila!
4. Go Neutral
Expecting a baby boy can set your eyes on blue items. However, it is best to go neutral with colours like white, grey, yellow and so much more so you won’t need repainting or buying new items for your general family use.
5. Start A Registry
People are often confused on what to buy for a new mum but if family and friends are aware that you hve a registry. It keeps them guided. So they know what you need and don’t duplicate the items you already have.
