1. You may need an episiotomy
Episiotomy is simply a surgical cut in the vaginal to help the baby’s passage relatively easier. It comes as a shock to many new mothers so you should be aware of the possibility of you needing one and also knowing the healing process
2. Postpartum bleeding is a lot
One huge shock many new Mums experience is how much they bleed after childbirth. After the delivery, postpartum bleeding also known as lochia begins. It can last for several weeks- usually very heavy in the beginning and then gradually reduces. It is usually a discharge containing blood, mucus, and uterine tissue. There is nothing you can do to stop it so just let it take it’s natural cause.
3. You may experience Postpartum Contractions
Surprised? Contractions don’t end during labor. You may experience sharp pains and contractions as the uterus shrinks to it’s pre-pregnancy size.
4. Breastfeeding Challenges
Seeing a breastfeeding mum snap her buttons open and prop the breast into the baby’s mouth seems easy and totally uncomplicated. It’s not that simple.
Even though breastfeeding is a natural process, it doesn’t come naturally to everyone. You may need to learn how to breastfeed.
Many women experience either initial or ongoing difficulties in breastfeeding their babies. Some are not even able to breastfeed at all. Before your baby arrives, learn as much as you can about breastfeeding. Consult a lactation consultant if you can.
5. You’ll feel like a Zombie
