What To Expect In Your Second Pregnancy

As much as your experience with your first can make you wiser, it doesn’t guarantee that your second pregnancy will be exactly the same.

Did you get a lot of morning sickness with your first? Who knows, your second might be a breeze! Or maybe you were able to conceal your belly till you almost popped? Brace yourself for an early baby bump this time.

1. Baby bump may show earlier

You have carried a baby before therefore, your belly muscles are not are loose. As a result, your bump will show earlier. Expect to start showing at least a month earlier than you did with your first.

2. Early baby movement

Maybe you felt your baby move at 20 weeks with your first. Expect it soon this time because you know exactly what to watch out for so you are not guessing if it is gas or your baby moving.

3. More fatigue

Be ready to be tired. You already have a toddler who either talks a lot, moves around a lot or does both. That alone is tiring to manage. With lesser time to rest, you might feel that your second pregnancy is much tougher.

4. More Self Confidence

Gone are those days when you spend all day on Google over colic or diaper rash. You are experienced with most of these occurrences and are better prepared than you were with your first.

5. Spend less on baby gears

Since you recently had your first, you still have a lot of useful items you you can reuse. If you are expecting the same sex as your first, you won’t be needing a lot, if not, you will need a few new set of clothes for your newborn (asides the overalls and bodysuits.
