It is totally normal for boys (regardless of the age) to get an erection. It is unclear why it happens so let’s put the blame on Biology. Shall we?

If your baby’s erection happens and wears out quickly maybe while changing diapers, then there is nothing to worry about but if it lasts more than one hour, swollen or red, you need to take him to see his doctor to be clear there is no obstruction of the penis.

Here are other boy specific signs you may want to have at the back of your mind. Swollen scrotum, pain that lasts for a whole day or severe, peeing difficulties, redness or looks infected.

Asides all of this, your baby boy is perfectly fine.
