Between 8- 12 months, you can start feeding your baby finger foods and this will help plan a full day’s meal that you can personally develop into a week’s and month’s meal plans.
Once your baby stars to grasp and pinch, it is time to introduce finger foods. At this age, you should expose your baby to a wide range of flavours, textures and tastes.
By 9 months, you should have introduced 2 types of solids while by 12 months, they should be eating at least 3 types of solids.
Breakfast
2- 4 Tablespoons of Baby cereal + age appropriate milk. Serve extra tablespoon of diced fruits like boiled apple, avocado or banana.
Lunch
The same number of spoons of baby cereal as breakfast but this time with 2 tablespoons of pureed fruits.
Dinner
Serve with 2 tablespoons of pureed vegetables with 2 spoons of pureed meat like chicken. Add one tablespoon of diced fruits like banana or watermelon.
Remember to give baby milk in between meals.
