What to buy as a new mum can be quite confusing. These items were my life saver!
1. Car Seat
This is probably the best investment I made in baby things. I could take it out of the car and put my baby inside so I didn’t have to always carry a 10kg 8 months old baby around.
2. Baby Carrier
It is just super convenient keeping my baby strapped when I don’t want to carry the car seat around especially during quick market runs or evening walks. It also allows my husband carry him easily while I am busy with other chores.
3. Breast Pump
Call this the alpha life saver and you won’t be wrong! My breast pump really gave me a breather. I simply pump during the day for night feeds when I am too tired to get up to breastfeed, anyone at home can heat up the pumped refrigerated milk and feed him.
4. Bottle Warmer
After pumping, I refrigerate. When it is time to feed, I simply heat up the milk with the electric bottle warmer. Super fast and easy to use.
5. Diaper Bags
I have two! A small one for quick trips and a big one for a full day’s journey. I have a list of items that are always pre-packed so I just pick up and go!.
6. Bodysuits
I can’t over-emphasize the importance of bodysuits to a newborn. Bodysuits, sleep suits and overalls are basically what your baby will live in for the first 6 months of life. So stock up!
7. Baby bouncer
Wha is life without a baby bouncer? Baby bouncers and rockers are excellent play gears that keep your baby entertained, active and happy.
8. Tommee Tippee Bottles
The teats of these bottles are so soft and close to nipple in shape, size and texture making the transition to bottle feeding smooth.
