5 Ways To Bond With Your Baby As A Career Mum
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Being a mum is a full time job, but juggling it with a career can bring some mummy guilt. These are foolproof ways you can bond with your baby even while a work.

It is normal to feel bad that you are missing a lot, even some milestones crushed while at work. But this doesn’t mean you can’t still have a bond as strong as that of a stay-at-home mum. Believe this, you are doing what is best for you and your child. Ditch the mum-guilt.

1. Make bath time special

Bath time is now beyond the quick trick to get your baby to relax and sleep at the end of the day. It can also be a good time to get to know your baby and keep track of how they are growing. Introduce fun activities during bath time like new toys to teach colours, shapes and characters. Point to the yellow duck and say “this is a duck, it is colour yellow” or this shape is square. Add a little body wash into water to form lathers and make bubble bath.

2. Use Front Baby carrier

While running errands, shopping or taking a walk, carrying your baby in a front carrier allows you make regular eye contact and also makes your baby feel safe in your arms. Imitate the funny faces and return the smiles

These will be the first stages of truly “communicating” with your child and they will be unforgettable.

3. Spend Quality Time

It is the quality time that matters and not the quantity. Let every minute you spend with your baby count and avoid distractions like Instagram and your favourite TV show (Lol). Find out what they will like to do and do it together. The memories will linger on till you can refuel again.

4. Try baby massage

A lot of mums swear by this. Massage not only relaxes your baby, it also fosters a bond and helps you “tune in” to your baby.

5.Learning while bonding

Simple games that you can play with your baby will not only be a fun and bonding experience, but will be teaching them things crucial for development. Here are a few activities you can explore.
