7 Fun Activities To Spend Quality Time With Kids At Home
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

As Parents, our schedules run busy. Between work, to managing our side business the home, things can get intense. If you are looking forward to spending quality time with your kid (s) over the weekend, then here is a good place to start.

Here are 7 ideas you can explore with your kids.

1. Face Painting

Warning: Wear old clothes that you won’t mind having paint stains on and place newspapers on the floor around where you will be painting. Paint one another’s face in turns. All it will take will be a clean scrub after all the fun! You can also explore hand painting, fabric painting, box painting. Paints and colours will boost your child’s creativity.

2. Movie Time

You can invite your friends with kids over for movie time, cartoon time. Have snacks handy for the kids. Involve your kids in the selection process of the movies you’ll be seeing.

3. Play Date

Invite your kid’s friends over for a play date. Let them choose their activities. From painting to castle building to video games or book reading. Remember to grab a bucket of chicken or pop corn, some fresh juice or finger foods for their tiny tummies. It also gives you time to do your house cleaning.

4. Gardening

Planting, watering and snap pictures of growth progress can be intriguing. Spend some time with your kid plating flowers and start a gardening routine every weekend. This will make your child conscious about the environment and she will always feel close to nature.

5. Bubble play

Get your bubble guns ready, soapy water, and shoot!

6. Role Play

How about playing dress up with your champ? You choose characters you want to look like and get costumes for it. Remember to snap a few pictures. Or you spending a nice time in pedicure or a spa and the little one working out on new makeover? New looks always give new energy.

7. Cook Off

Why not involve your little chef in cooking with you this weekend? Make a smoothie or bake cup cakes. Be careful with electrical appliances, fire or sharp objects like knives.
