Question: Is she okay? My Baby Fell And Hit Her Head On The Floor

My baby rolled off the bed and hit her head on the floor. It’s a bit swollen but she has stopped crying.

Dear Mama,

As difficult as this is to say, but there will be more falls. Bumping and falling are the most common accidents that will happen to a new walker or crawler. Once your baby is mobile, accidents happen so you need to put better structures in place like not leaving your baby unsupported in bed or leaving doors to stairs cases always shut and investing in cabinet locks will be worth it.

Back to your baby.

Do a close examination. A bump on the head could mean an internal bleeding or fracture on the skull or nothing significant.
Please check with the doctor if;

1. Your baby won’t stop crying
2. The bump size increases
3. If she can’t stay awake
4. looks unconscious.
5. Has difficulty standing or walking
6. Constantly vomiting.
